A Look at My Craft Room

Ever since we moved out here to Silverlox (the name we've given our property), I've been hesitant to share a look at my craft room. It's considerably smaller than the one in our other house and a constant work-in-progress. But, Cat at Cut Out + Keep has very nicely asked (several times) for a tour and interview. So, I cleaned it up the best I could and gave in. You can find the pictures and my interview for Hope's Craft Room on their site.

In addition, while I had the room in some semblance of order, I went ahead and did a quick video tour of my craft room. It's wobbly and a little rushed but was needed before I expand (hopefully) in a few months.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about how I store things in my room or if you want a better idea of what all I've got packed away in here. It's a big, cluttered mess. But, it's mine! I'm very fortunate.

Oh, and if you want to see what the craft room in our other house was like, here's the post I did about it.

  1. Thank you for the tour! My craft room looks much like your craft room. My problem is that when I attempt to better organize my beads or supplies, I have a difficult time finding them the next time I need them. I just have too much "stuff."

    1. Mary, Thank you for taking a peek in my space. I definitely have too much stuff too. I'm constantly trying to weed it out and have put the brakes on buying much, especially beads! Here's hoping we can both find some organization and our supplies when we need them Have a great weekend!

  2. It was nice to see you on screen Hope, and fascinating to take a trip through your craft room. I hope to have a craft room or studio of my own soon.

    1. Divya, you are too sweet. Thank you! Yes, here's hoping you get to create your own space soon. I do hope you'll give us a tour when you get that space. (And, knowing you, you'll get around to it in a more timely manner than I did!)

  3. I loved seeing your craft room! Thank you so much for sharing. I loved seeing some of your innovative ideas like using cooling racks to display jewelry. What are the clothes pins on the back of the door for? I'm thinking maybe art journal pages or altered papers that are drying? I'm going to watch the tour of your former space as well.

    1. Ann, I see that you saw the old video too and got your question answered. I'm a little amazed that you sat through that other video. It was SO LONG! That's why I rushed through this one. HA! I'm a sucker for peeking into other people's spaces too. So, I've been wanting to do this little tour for a while. It didn't stay that "clean" for very long. Thank you for your kind words!

  5. You're so lucky to have a dedicated craft room! I have a crafting desk in our living room and often feel uneasy about the mess :) Love all your cabinets and also the vintage racks! A room with a character!
