I Heart Macro: Bowling and Raining

Vertigo be damned. . .I really want to get back on track and cease sitting around the house all dizzy.
I go to a real doctor's office tomorrow (as opposed to the Urgent Care center I saw on Tuesday).
Hopefully they'll get it sorted out!

It's overcast and rainy today so I'm really going to push myself to get the house in order and maybe try to get some work done. . . starting with this blog post.

My mardi gras society had a bowling function yesterday.
There's just something so pretty about the marbling in/on a bowling ball. . .they're like big ole beads too!!
I just had to snap a shot before my really poor performance!

See other close up shots at Studio Waterstone's I Heart Macro!

Let me also mention that Beadwork by H is having a Summer Bead Giveaway! Check it out!

Time for me to get back to work. . .

  1. Hi Hope,
Sorry to hear you are still suffering I hope the doctor will be able to help you out. I love the different colors bowling balls come in these day. Thank you for the tip on the giveaway.

  2. Me too!! I think it's a sinus issue, so I've got my fingers crossed that that's all it is!
    You're welcome!

  3. I've always admired bowling balls too! Vertigo is NO fun and I hope it clears up soon for you!

  4. Annette- They just come in so many fun colors! Thanks so much!

  5. My kids both grew up going to saturday morning bowling in the youth league and loved it. have you seen the clear balls with the objects inside them? They have such beautiful colors now, no more black with speckles like when I was young! Hope you feel better soon.

  6. Laura- That's awesome. The most bowling I've done lately has been on the Wii. There's a huge difference!

I haven't seen those clear balls. How cool!

  7. Vertigo is for the birds! No, that isn't even funny. I've had it twice in my life, once when I was in high stress and the last time a few years ago and the doctor diagnosed me over the phone saying it was likely a virus (had sinus going on at the same time) and to take Sudafed and drink lots of fluids.

It was during that last time that I found out how common it really is for women to get vertigo at some point in their lives.

Be good to hear when you're all better.

  8. Janet- Oh how I hope there's a simple solution like Sudafed and water for mine. I do think it's sinus related since I've felt some tightness in my left ear for a few weeks. But, I don't have a primary doc (at least not until tomorrow!) to get the relief I need. I'm just glad it's not the full blown vertigo that keeps so many people from functioning. Instead just dizzy, dizzy. . . I should have an update some time tomorrow, yay!

    Thanks for your concern. :)

  9. I can't believe that I didn't realize how much bowling balls look like beads!! No wonder I like to bowl! :)

What an awful feeling to feel dizzy all the time! I hope the vertigo gets better quickly!

  10. I do my bowling via Wii haha. I hope you get to feeling better.

  11. Kimmy- Same here. Once you put some weight on the ball (as opposed to a Wiimote) I don't know what I'm doing!!

  12. grrr! vertigo is a right pain..had it a few times...just rest was all that was prescribed...it helps put the balance right...but I felt like a fraud taking time off just to rest!

    Fingers crossed for you sweetie...

    hello gorgeous xxx

  13. Nice pics - I thought they were beads! Hope you're feeling much better soon.

  14. When we lived in Scotland we painted the cottage to sell it, I dont know what was in that paint, but I was dizzy and thats no fun! I hope you will be much better soon! Goodly picture! Blessings to you too...xx

  15. Gorgeous- Oh no. . .not rest! I'm so TIRED of resting. Thanks for the best wishes! :)

Lori- I KNOW. Those bowling balls were just too pretty! Thanks.

Janet- Thanks so much! I appreciate you stopping by!

  16. I hope you get some relief from the doctor. Being dizzy or nauseous is no fun at all.

Thanks for stopping by! It means so very much to me. I love to hear what you have to say.
