Christmas Crafts and an Update

I hope you will forgive me for my absence as of late. I broke my ankle two weeks ago and have been laid up in bed ever since. It's hard to get much made or even have much to share when you're in the same room most of the time. I recommend following my CraftyHope Instagram account for more frequent updates from me right now. Though, those are not as frequent either.

I have a couple of new Christmas-related tutorials on YouTube that I thought I might share with you before this space becomes a barren wasteland. Ha!

The first is a Yarn Tassel Garland that I made for my booth at Southern Antiques and Accents. It's a fairly quick project once you get the hang of it.

I think the pop of red really grabs your attention against the white of my booth. But, you could make your tassel garland in any color combination for any holiday too.

The other tutorial is a fabulous little ornament that I made for the You, Me, Same 3 challenge.

I combined the three items sent to me for the challenge with some Dollar Tree bits, an old mint tin, and a few other materials to make a cute, decorative diorama of sorts. This was completed after my injury so I kept it as simple as possible.

In other news, I've already worked my way through my latest Bead Box, so I hope to share what I stocked in it before too long. But, things are so up in the air right now that I don't really know what comes next.

I hope you are well and your holiday season is joyous. Please update me on what's going on in your neck of the woods!

  1. Take care and good wishes and healing thoughts for your future surgeries.

    1. Thanks so much, Divya! Yes, tomorrow is my next surgery. I hope that's the last of it. Here's wishing you well for a wonderful new year!

  2. Again, I'm hoping your ankle heals well and as fast as possible. It's a miracle that you could accomplish anything in this situation. I was in a cast once and couldn't do anything until I was allowed to step on my foot. The diorama ornament is such a treasure! Wishing you a very happy and bountiful New year!

Thanks for stopping by! It means so very much to me. I love to hear what you have to say.

Winding down the 100DayProject
